Mannheim, Germany — Draiswerke GmbH has acquired all the shares of Draiswerke Inc., based in Mahwah, NJ. Draiswerke Inc. was launched in 1974 as a North American unit of the German-based parent company, and later became a a free-standing organization. Draiswerke is a supplier of processing equipment including dispersing, grinding, mixing, drying, and compounding systems and reactors.

Draiswerke Inc.’s New Jersey site will serve as the North American headquarters for the international DRAIS organization, the company said. The site houses administration, sales, design and engineering, manufacturing, warehouse, and technical-support offices and operations, and a technology center for customer testing and equipment demonstrations. The company said the merger will allow the U.S.-based company to offer the combined product lines of the Germany-based DRAIS and Draiswerke Inc. to the North American market.
