The symposium will include more than 30 technical papers. Awards will be presented for outstanding papers, including the $10,000 Shelby F. Thames Best Paper Award co-sponsored by PCI magazine, Avecia NeoResins and Bayer Corp.
Also scheduled in conjunction with the symposium are several coatings short courses. Scheduled for Feb. 3-5 is "The Physical Principles of Formulation, Part III." Scheduled for Feb. 4-5 are "Design of Experiments for Coatings Scientists," "Modern Analysis, Characterization and Testing of Coatings," "Modern Coatings Technology," "Reformulating to Waterborne Coatings," and "Water-Soluble/Water-Borne Polymers."
