Cognis Corp., formerly the Henkel Corp. Chemicals Group, Cincinnati, announced the consolidation of manufacturing of its Coatings and Inks Division products at the company’s Charlotte, NC, facility. When completed in the next several months, the consolidation will result in the discontinuation of operations at the company’s Lock Haven, PA, site, where acrylated epoxy and urethane monomers and oligomers are manufactured. The Coatings and Inks Division is a supplier of specialty resins and additives for coatings and adhesives.
The company also appointed distributors of the company’s G-CURE acrylic polyol resins and SOVERMOL polyols. The distributors are A.T. Callas Co., Troy, MI; C.L. Zimmerman Co., Cincinnati; Fitz Chem Corp., Elmhurst, IL; Monson Cos., Leominster, MA; McCullough & Benton (G-CURE only), Atlanta; Palmer Supplies Co., Cleveland; Raw Materials Corp., Grapevine, TX; and Soco Lynch Corp., Santa Fe Springs, CA.
