HELSINKI — Kemira Oyj announced an agreement to sell the tinting-system business of Tikkurila CPS Oy to a new company formed by the private equity investment firm Industri Kapital. Kemira said it will retain a 30% stake in the company.

Kemira also said Tikkurila has sold its 50% stake in the Corob Group, a major global tinting-machine business, to Swisslog, a Switzerland-based company that already held the other 50% share of the business. Kemira said Corob Group is the world’s second-largest supplier of tinting machines, with subsidiaries in nine countries. Kemira said the sale reflects its long-term strategy of focusing on the pulp, paper, water-treatment and coatings industries.
