WASHINGTON — The NPCA announced a number of program topics and speakers for the association’s 2001 Annual Meeting, scheduled for Oct. 28-30 in Seattle.

The NPCA said Andrew Lebby, managing partner of The Performance Group and an expert in the areas of change, growth and other leadership topics, will address the meeting’s final general session and luncheon on Oct. 30. Lebby, formerly a director in the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Education Research and Improvement, will discuss how leadership in an organization influences quality, innovation and customer-service programs.

Forum-session program speakers at the meeting will include the following.

  • Jeffrey Rosensweig, an international finance expert and author, who will discuss the importance of diversifying global holdings and expanding businesses to new consumer markets;

  • Steve Farber, a business-leadership expert, who will speak on the topics of service quality, reinvention and teamwork;

  • Claire Raines, an award-winning author, who will discuss the importance of understanding the differences among different generations of people and how to manage diverse groups of people; and

  • Tom Kelly, the creator of the Apple mouse, the Polaroid Izone instant camera and the Palm V, who will speak on strategies designed to generate continuous innovation.
