CHICAGO, IL - Atlas Material Testing Technology has announced that the focal point of its new Center of Excellence in Chicago, IL, has been audited and reaccredited to ISO 17025. The relocation of Atlas' accelerated laboratory from Miami to Chicago is complete. The full line of Atlas weathering instruments are installed and calibrated in the new facility.

The laboratory was audited by A2LA for compliance to ISO 17025 and passed with no deficiencies. "The new lab is complete and filled with the most advanced weathering equipment that Atlas offers," said Rich Slomko, North American Leader Testing Services. "Additionally, a state-of-the-art evaluations laboratory has been added where trained technicians can perform a full array of evaluation services (gloss, color, visual assessments, etc.)."

The new Center of Excellence laboratory in Chicago replaces the previous accelerated weathering laboratory in Miami, FL. Atlas will now provide local support in test program development, on-site engineering for instrument enhancements and on-site technical service at the U.S. manufacturing headquarters for Atlas instruments. The increased laboratory footprint has also provided much-needed space for Atlas' continued growth in accelerated weathering test services.
