GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ - George Tirpak died on January 19, 2009, in Fort Meyers, FL. He was 72 years old.
 
Tirpak was a graduate of the University of Dayton, Ohio, class of 1959. He did graduate studies at Syracuse University and Stevens Institute of Technology. His career was dedicated to scientific and chemical research. He retired from Tego, Goldschmidt Corp., Hopewell, VA.
 
Tirpak was the cornerstone of the Tego business in the United States. In his 12 years with the company, he saw it grow from a very small, unknown additives supplier, to one of the largest companies in the industry.
 
Tirpak was a man of great compassion and solid convictions. He is survived by his three children, five grandchildren and one brother.
