MUNICH, Germany – WACKER, the Munich-based chemical company, is restructuring its distribution network for VINNAPAS® and VINNOL® brand polymer dispersions. As part of a constant sales channel improvement, the IMCD Group, a Dutch chemicals distributor and already a WACKER partner, will distribute WACKER’s polymer dispersions in the UK and Ireland. Effective Oct. 1, 2009, IMCD UK Ltd. replaces previous distribution partner Grolman Ltd. Furthermore, dispersions business will be transferred from WACKER’s previous partner Biesterfeld to IMCD in the Baltics as well as in Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, Turkey and Ukraine, effective Oct. 1, 2009. In addition, IMCD will also distribute WACKER’s polymer dispersions in Austria from October 2009 forward.

 

IMCD distributes selected WACKER products in most West European and a few East European countries. VINNAPAS and VINNOL dispersions are chiefly used as binders in the construction chemicals, adhesives, nonwovens, paints and coatings, paper, carpets, and textiles industries.
