Planning has begun for Sink or Swim 2010.

CLEVELAND - Planning has begun for the Sink or Swim 2010. The event will be held on May 18-19, 2010, at the University of Akron in conjunction with the Department of Polymer Engineering. The event will feature a strong technical program as well as a short course.
 
Exhibits will be held on Tuesday, May 18. Exhibit hours are from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Several levels of sponsorships are also available for the conference.
 
A poster session and poster competition will also be offered this year. Posters should be of scientific content and relevant to the coatings industry. An award for best poster will be given. Presenters are required to be present to discuss the poster and answer questions.
 
Individuals interested in presenting a paper at the event should submit an abstract, title and speaker name by Feb. 1, 2010. Topics for papers can include: nano coatings, green sustainable technologies, raw materials, surfactants and additives, application methods and equipment, coating industry trends, pigment dispersions, aerospace coatings, improved corrosion resistance, emulsion polymerization/polymers, architectural coatings, marine coatings and new polymer technologies, automotive OE and VR coatings, wood coatings, VOC, HAPs and RoHs issues, analysis and characterization, process and manufacturing, and color technology.
 
Talks will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. An electronic copy of your abstract and presentation, and a paper for the plenary lecturers, will be required by March 1, 2010.
