KREFELD, Germany - The German specialty chemicals producer crenox is continuing with the development of new catalyst materials. Accordingly, a joint-development contract with the Ruhr-University Bochum (Bochum, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany) was recently prolonged for three years. The cooperation with the university is part of a new strategic orientation of the company. crenox, an international producer of titanium dioxide, is developing new market segments and product groups by targeted investment, expanding its position particularly in the catalyst segment.

Research into new DeNOx catalyst materials, headed by Professor Wolfgangof Grünert, Ruhr-University Bochum, has been sponsored by crenox. The results achieved so far have led to the continuation of this project. The program will include the expansion of the facility used in the assessment of catalyst materials from crenox. In addition, the university will now employ a scientist who will be dedicated to the project.
