CHARLOTTE, NC -- BASF has launched a new Website, www.basf.us/acrodur, to promote the benefits of Acrodur® acrylic resin, a zero-emission acrylic thermoset resin for fibers and particles.

The site provides information for manufacturers in the automotive industry who want to make high-performance composites even for the most demanding applications.

“This high-performance, lightweight and cost-effective composite saves costs and significantly reduces volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions, and its rapidly renewable natural fiber mat reduces the vehicle’s carbon footprint without sacrificing performance and stability,” said Gero Nordmann, Market Development Manager, for BASF in North America.

Additionally, Acrodur acrylic resin can be used to produce high-performance nonwovens, compression-molded high-fiber composites, and durable cork flooring and other construction products.
