Paint and adhesives manufacturers
can learn how to better formulate products by mastering the earth’s elements
with support from Celanese Emulsion Polymers at Stand 7-105. With new data
demonstrating the high performance of vinyl acetate/ethylene (VAE) emulsions in
exterior architectural paints, Celanese is showcasing technology that offers
excellent protection, including fire retardant properties, and provides the
basis for novel coating solutions.
ECS attendees can learn the advantages of the
company’s VAE emulsions marketed under the Mowilith® brand
throughout Europe. “VAE emulsions have gained strong acceptance for use in
low-odor, low-emission interior paints for over a decade, demonstrating the
power of water and how waterborne paints help to protect the air and the
earth,” said David Faust, Market Segment Manager. “Today, we are moving the VAE
emulsions outdoors and are showcasing our patented VAE inclusion technology for
use in façade coatings, plasters and also in exterior insulation finishing
systems (EIFs),” said Faust.
Other products being showcased include pure acrylic
emulsions for use in gloss paints, varnishes and lacquers, featuring excellent
outdoor weathering and block resistance.
Visitors can also learn more about Celanese’s
emulsions for a variety of adhesive applications. For paper packaging and
converting adhesives, Mowilith LDM 1081 enables the formulation of
low-migration adhesives to meet food packaging regulations and additionally
offers excellent nozzle machining.
