OBERHAUSEN, Germany – The global chemical company Oxea has successfully increased its manufacturing capabilities for syngas at its Bay City, TX, plant by 10 percent. Syngas is the main precursor for the production of oxo intermediates and oxo derivatives, which are used in products such as high-quality coatings, lubricants, and cosmetics and pharmaceutical products. Oxea’s Bay City plant is a large facility for oxo chemicals, synthetic fatty acid and acetate esters.
With this capacity expansion, Oxea follows its strategy to further position itself in the growth market of oxo intermediates and oxo derivatives.
