PARSIPPANY, NJ - Following an extensive search, Evonik Degussa Corp. will relocate its North American administrative offices to 299 Jefferson Road in Parsippany, NJ. The move is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2011.

Before selecting this location, Evonik evaluated numerous alternatives, including moving out of New Jersey. The decision to remain in the Garden State was made for a variety of reasons, including favorable economics, a highly educated workforce, and Parsippany’s excellent transportation and communication links.

Tom Bates, Evonik’s North American President, said the company’s decision marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Evonik in Parsippany and New Jersey. “Our new building will showcase the Evonik brand and provide us with the features, flexibility and efficiencies we need to facilitate the continued success of our business in North America,” he added.

In support of Evonik’s long-standing commitment to the environment, a new energy efficient heating and ventilation system will be installed in the building to reduce the company’s carbon footprint.

Evonik has signed a long-term lease with Vision Equities for approximately 150,500 square feet.

Approximately 350 employees will relocate to the new location.
