The new Vector Systems spray guns reportedly provide reduced weight, increased durability, lightened trigger pull, improved finish and transfer efficiency, and simplified electrostatic controls compared to other electrostatic spray guns. The gun design redistributes the pressure in the air cap and adjusts the balance between the atomization and fan air. This operation causes paint particles to move more slowly through the charging field, resulting in stronger charging and more paint to be delivered to the part with less waste, thereby improving atomization and transfer efficiency. The guns also contain 25% fewer parts than other electrostatic spray guns, which greatly reduces the likelihood of failure and costs of future repairs.
