BYK-Gardner will hold a number of regional seminars in September covering common quality control measurement topics and challenges. The seminars will focus on all the visual attributes of various products and how to measure them objectively.

The seminars will cover appearance properties such as gloss, haze, orange peel and transparency; color theory; when to use a 45/0, sphere or multi-angle spectrophotometer; and how to analyze sparkle and graininess of colors containing special effect pigments. Instruments will be available for hands-on demonstrations, and staff will be able to answer any questions about testing physical properties such as dispersion, film thickness and viscosity.

The fee for each seminar registration is $100, which includes lunch and handouts. Visit the company'swebsitefor a list of dates and locations.
