Molded Fiber Glass Tray Company (MFG Tray) has introduced a new line of high-strength, fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composite metal parts wash-boxes. According to the company, the composite material construction of the boxes costs approximately one-third the cost of traditional stainless steel counterparts. The wash-boxes are designed to handle heavy payloads (150 lb capacity), are stackable, and are engineered to withstand small-part washing system chemicals and provide continuous operation at temperatures to 350°F. Additionally, by minimizing the “dumps” from high-speed conveyor-to-container, the wash boxes reportedly reduce labor and part damage/scrap.
