RICHMOND, VA ─ DuPont Protection Technologies announced the winners of the second annual DuPont™ Tyvek® Dirty Work Photo Contest. Jim Mathey, Cody Vandivort and Tim Grant won the online competition by best demonstrating the many ways in which workers use Tyvek garments to help keep safe and clean on the job. To check out all of the grimy entries, visit www.tyvekphotocontest.dupont.com.

Entrants were asked to submit original photos of themselves or their colleagues wearing a Tyvek protective garment after completing their “dirty work.” The entries were then judged based on a variety of criteria, including how well the Tyvek garment and “dirty work” were portrayed in the photo. Jim Mathey of Peoria, IL, was the grand-prize winner, submitting the dirtiest picture of them all, showing his colleagues wearing their Tyvek gear covered in black soot from fixing repairs to a carbon black dust collector. They are shown with their protective eyewear on, but even their faces are covered in dirt. As the grand-prize winner, Jim Mathey received a $2,500 American Express gift card.

Cody Vandivort from Gillette, WY, was the first-prize winner and received a $500 American Express gift card for his photo, taken in a hooded Tyvek coverall, hardhat and gloves after changing a planetary drive on a Marion Shovel.

The second runner up, Tim Grant of Baxley, GA, submitted a picture of himself right after he finished buffing and painting a baler. Grant received a $250 American Express gift card.
