WASHINGTON, DC - The International Paint and Printing Ink Council (IPPIC) is welcoming two new members in 2014: the Indian Paint Association (IPA) and South African Paint Manufacturer Association (SAPMA).

Established in 1962, IPA is the apex body of the Indian paint industry, which represents both the organized sector and the small-scale sector in the paint industry. It is a non-political and nonprofit organization that promotes the interest of the Indian paint industry.

SAPMA has represented the South African coatings manufacturing industry for more than 70 years. The association’s manufacturing members represent 90 percent of the volume of coatings produced in South Africa.

IPPIC is comprised of paint and printing ink trade associations representing Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Europe, India, Japan, Mexico, South Africa and the United States. The organization provides a forum for information exchange and cooperation on the major issues and priorities facing the paint and printing ink industries worldwide.
