LANXESS Corporation has announced the retirement of President and Chief Executive Officer, Antonis Papadourakis. Frederique van Baarle, member of the Board of Management and Labor Direcor of LANXESS AG, assumed the role of President and CEO for the company’s Americas region on Oct. 1.
The technology & infrastructure (TI) division will be split into two units, each with different perspectives. In addition, the entire administration will be tailored to the needs of the operating businesses.
The new digital application, called “MyCarbonFootprint,” is
designed to help customers gain a better overview of the sustainability status of the product portfolio they purchase from BASF.
The company's nine manufacturing sites in Brazil are now powered with electricity solely from renewable energy sources, helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and transition to a low-carbon economy.
Concurrently, Marc Doyle who has successfully led Arxada since its foundation, will transition to a new role as a member of the Board of Directors. This strategic move reflects the company’s commitment to driving continuity, growth and sustainability in its portfolio.
The company announced the appointment of Peter Boone as Chief Executive Officer, starting on October 1, 2023. He will succeed Hidde van der Wal, who is retiring after more than 20 years with the company.
The company's last cash dividend increase of 5.0% in October 2022 marked the 49th consecutive year of increased cash dividends paid to its stockholders, placing it in an elite category of less than half of 1% of all publicly traded U.S. companies.
