On October 27, Evonik opened its expanded facilities in Ako, Japan, where the company will produce its SIPERNAT® and CARPLEX® lines of specialty silicas.
Connell Brothers (CBC), a distributor of specialty chemicals and ingredients in Asia-Pacific, announced that, effective August 1, 2015, it will represent U.S. Silica across Asia including Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines as well as in Australia and India.
