L.E. (Skip) Scriven, Regents Professor of Chemical Engineering &
Materials Science at the University of Minnesota, is the winner of the 2007 Roy
W. Tess Award in Coatings.
The
Center for the Polyurethanes Industry has
issued a call for entries for the 2007 Polyurethane “Innovation Award”
nominations and also has changed this year’s award program’s three categories
to Polyurethane Chemicals, Processing Equipment and Finished Product.
A
new venture, formed by a special licensing agreement signed with Rutgers
University, has been launched to commercialize and market a green technology
being developed by Rutgers’ Center for Advanced Materials via Immiscible
Polymer Processing (AMIPP).
The 10th International Coatings for Plastics
Symposium, hosted by Paint & Coatings Industry magazine, will be
held at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Chicago, June 13-15, 2007.
