Developed by Kevin Biller of ChemQuest Powder Coating Research, aka “Joe Powder,” courses are held in Columbus, Ohio, and will provide attendees with the fundamentals of powder coating in a combined classroom and laboratory setting.

The scholarship program that honors the first executive director of the Chemical Coaters Association International (CCAI) aims to attract new talent to the industrial finishing and surface coating technologies industry. The application deadline is April 15, 2023.

Themed “Nutation – Reimagining the Paint Business,” the three-day conference will feature discussions and deliberations amongst paint and coatings industry members from India and abroad. 600+ delegates and over 40 panelists, comprising leading business leaders, technology specialists, and other experts, will share their perspectives on a range of relevant topics concerning this sector.

The workshop is directed toward scientists and engineers involved in product development and latex processing operations, and who produce or use water-based latexes for architectural and paper coatings, textiles, and carpet backings, pressure sensitive adhesives, printing inks, impact modifiers, etc.

BIG IDEAS offers the industry a forum to discuss the future of UV and EB technologies while learning more about the applications and science that will enable developments two, five, and 10 years down the road.

The Eastern Coatings Show 2023 will host 40 speakers, including Dan Calkins, chairman & CEO of Benjamin Moore, as the keynote speaker. The event will also feature a short course (Intro to Coatings and Sustainability) hosted by the University of Southern Mississippi.

Both courses will be in-person on the Fargo campus. The Coatings Science short course provides a comprehensive overview of the basic principles of coatings science. The Corrosion Prevention by Coatings course is a practical guide to the basics of corrosion science and engineering.

SFM 2023 will feature an exhibition floor for national and international exhibitors to offer products and technologies for the industrial sectors, such as automotive, aerospace, domestic appliances, electronics, jewelry – among others. SFM 2023 will also offer a specialized educational program during the expo (dates and details to come).
