In BASF’s biomass balance approach, renewable raw materials are used when manufacturing primary chemical products in the production site. The proportion of renewable raw materials is then attributed to certain sales products, according to a certified mass balance method.

AkzoNobel has completed the acquisition of the wheel liquid coatings business of Lankwitzer Lackfabrik GmbH, a deal that strengthens the company’s performance coatings portfolio. The acquired business will expand AkzoNobel’s existing powder coatings offering as well as the range of products the company supplies. The deal was first announced in July 2022.

Edward Bulmer Natural Paint has secured a six-figure funding deal from NatWest, and its asset finance partner Lombard, to support its continued growth. The business, which is based in Pembridge, United Kingdom, produces a range of natural paints, and employs over 20 people.

The project was launched in response to the coating industry's need to replace fossil-based raw materials, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

PPG’s GLIDDEN MAX FLEX™ spray paint and primer has been awarded a Best of What’s New Award 2022 by Popular Science magazine in the home category. Glidden Max Flex spray paint was awarded based on its revolutionary lacquer-based formula.

The project brought together 52 PPG volunteers who spent 156 hours on the school’s sports ground. PPG provided more than $11,500 (440,000 baht) in products and services to assist with the project, including 38 gallons (144 liters) of PPG SIGMACOVER^® epoxy paint for the sports ground.
