CPI will present the Innovation Award at the conclusion of the 2023 Polyurethanes Technical Conference, taking place at the Marriott Rivercenter in San Antonio, Texas, September 25-27, 2023.
The chemical distributor will expand to 10 states, including California, Oregon, Colorado, Nevada, Washington, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Arizona, and Wyoming.
The appointment comes in conjunction with increased exports to the EMEA region as demand increases for the company’s light, thin coatings with extreme durability and protection for mission-critical and mass transport systems.
The targets are recognized as being consistent with levels that climate science says are necessary to limit average global warming to well below 2 °C above pre-industrial levels.
The company has reported its financial results for the full-year 2022. Despite lower sales volumes as a consequence of the recessionary environment, Covestro’s group sales grew by 13% to €18.0 billion.
The group reported a strong first six months before overall demand began weakening in the third quarter as product availability grew and customers’ destocking activities increased in response to declining raw material costs.
