The European Coatings Show provided attendees the opportunity to learn about the latest technology in the industry. This article provides a glimpse at some of the advancements and new solutions presented at this year’s event.
The European Coatings Show will focus on trends and technologies covering all aspects of the production of paints, coatings, sealants, construction chemicals and adhesives. For the first time, the show will extend into eight halls. Below is a snapshot of some of the technology that will be presented at this year's ECS.
Micro Powders is introducing three new products based on the company’s innovative composite particle technology at Stand 7-144. These highly engineered powders are formulated with nano-aluminum oxide (Mohs hardness 9) to deliver unsurpassed scratch and abrasion resistance.
At Stand 1-243, Cabot Corp. is featuring its industry-leading high-color carbon blacks, fumed silicas and fumed aluminas for automotive and industrial coatings and adhesives, with a special focus on sustainability and green technologies.
Lonza is launching two new additions to the Proxel® range of preservatives in Europe at Stand 7-520. The new, innovative wet-state preservatives are designed to align with the evolving regulatory landscape in Europe and the increasing market demand for Methylisothiazolinone (MIT)-free biocide formulations.
At Stand 7-414, AdvanSix delivers advantaged chemistries tailored to meet customer needs. The company produces a wide range of chemical intermediates, backed by services, support and a strong commitment to research and development.
Specialty chemicals company LANXESS is presenting a vast offering of products and services at Stand 7-145. The Inorganic Pigments business unit is featuring a full range of premium-quality iron and chromium oxide pigments under the brand names Bayferrox® and Colortherm®, including its NEW RED pigments marketed as Bayferrox 500 series.
Active Minerals International, LLC (AMI), is exhibiting its Min-U-Gel® attapulgite products for rheology modification, syneresis control and suspension at Stand 7A-301. In addition, AMI is featuring two other unique products: Acti-Gel® 208 additive and Acti-Min® PG cost-saving kaolin extender pigment.
At Stand 1-416, Ferro Pigments offers a comprehensive range of pigments, including a highly diverse array of complex inorganic color pigments (CICPs), ultramarines, corrosion inhibitors, iron oxides (blacks, reds, yellows, including high heat fastness grades of the latter), chrome oxide greens, bismuth vanadates, transparent iron oxides and organic pigments.
