The report outlines Kraton's sustainability initiatives, including progress on its sustainability strategy and long-term waste, water, and GHG emission targets.
A novel polymerizable surfactant was developed and utilized to prepare latex polymers and resins through emulsion polymerizations. These polymers were then evaluated in PSA and architectural waterborne coating formulations. The results showed that the new surfactant almost fully reacted during the emulsion polymerization, and reduced or even eliminated the free surfactant migration during film formation.
Polymers are unlike other types of compounds because of their extremely large size, which
has a great impact on their unique properties and how they behave in different phase states. Many applications of polymers and polymer coatings need flexibility at low to ambient temperatures. This article explores the difference between amorphous and crystalline polymers.
The long-term agreement signed with Ørsted is part of its planned Mockingbird Solar Center in Texas and will offset 70,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually.
