WUPPERTAL, Germany - Axalta Coating Systems has appointed Matthias Schönberg Vice President of Axalta and President of its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. He takes up his position on October 1, 2015. Schönberg’s role will be to drive the EMEA region’s growth strategy. He joins Axalta from Continental AG where he held numerous leadership positions including, most recently, as CEO of its ContiTech Fluid Technology business and Executive Vice President of Continental AG.
