EXTON, PA – AGC Chemicals Americas Inc. announced its corporate membership with the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA), an organization that has provided performance standards, product certification and educational programs for the fenestration industry since 1936.

As a leading manufacturer of fluoroethylene vinyl ether (FEVE) resins used in coatings for fenestration building components, AGC joined the AAMA to help develop product standards and to educate fenestration industry professionals on using FEVE resins in architectural applications.

“Our goal is to be an active participant in the process of AAMA coatings specification administration,” said Robert Parker, Technical Development Chemist at AGC. “We will share with AAMA members our ideas for the improvement of the AAMA specification testing used for coatings applied to substrates used in fenestration products. Our experience in the performance of FEVE-based coatings will help us in this participation.”
