ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — Organizers of the Eastern Coatings Show (ECS) are offering a short course on the fundamentals of coatings, held in conjunction with the show. The purpose of this course is to provide an understanding of the basic principles of coatings use, design, formulation and manufacture. The course will discuss fundamentals of ingredients used in coatings manufacture, i.e., polymers, pigments, additives and solvents. The course is designed for technical and non-technical people who would like an introduction to the coatings industry or for anyone looking to understand coatings and raw material technology. The University of Southern Mississippi will administer the course. It will take place prior to the start of the Eastern Coatings show from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2019. This course is free with a full conference pass or $50 for those without a full conference pass.
