WORCESTER, MA – Abrasives manufacturer Norton | Saint-Gobain Abrasives has introduced its Farécla line of polishing compounds and surface finishing products for a wide range of markets such as OEM automotive assembly, marine, woodworkers, composite manufacturers and other industrial applications. Farécla, a global company, was purchased by Norton ǀ Saint-Gobain Abrasives in 2018 to complement its abrasive products and markets.

The Farécla line has cutting, polishing and finishing compounds, as well as application accessories that are designed to enhance the highest level of shine on painted surfaces, gel coats and wood lacquers. Farécla compounds are easy to apply and will not run. With minimal effort, an innovative abrasive technology removes sanding marks permanently, avoiding costly rework. To protect finishes and provide a high gloss, a polymer UV wax that is water resistant and protects against harmful UV rays can be applied.

"Since 1952, Farécla has been making compounds. The name is a combination of two French words meaning “shining” and “bright” — both are characteristics customers can expect from Farécla compounds. The line has best, better and good tiers of compounds, finishes and wax, and their unique abrasive technology will work on many different substrates and paints,” said Craig Chaffee, Norton | Saint-Gobain Abrasives Product Manager.
