WASHINGTON — Registration is now open for the American Coatings Show and Conference 2022 (ACS/ACC), which will be held April 5-7 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The ACS/ACC 2022 is a long-awaited opportunity for the industry to convene on a scale that hasn’t been experienced recently in the United States. While the event will offer mainstay attractions, including Product Presentations, exhibitor demonstrations, and the conference awards ceremony, there will be new features as well.

The event has been re-branded, and the 2022 gathering will be the first opportunity to debut the new, fresh design during the ACS/ACC. In addition, the exhibition and the conference will run concurrently for the first time in the history of the event. Usually, the conference kicks-off the event, followed by the start of the exposition the next day. Starting in 2022, the ACC will begin on the same day as the show and will be located on the same level as the exhibit hall. This will be a new experience for both conference attendees and exhibitors.

According to Cheryl Matthews, Vice President of Events and Expositions for the American Coatings Association, “We look forward to re-engaging with the industry after such a long hiatus. The 2022 show and conference will build on the event’s established reputation as a high-level learning experience and platform for showcasing industry products. By giving conference attendees more opportunities to spend time at the exhibition, we are offering them a more integrated experience. In that same vein, exhibitors will have more of an opportunity to interact with this segment of the audience than before.”

Kristina Wilger, Director, Event Management for Vincentz Network, added, “The attendees can experience product presentations, impressive exhibits and the latest developments in coatings technologies. In addition, we are very excited to introduce the new Powder Coatings Pavilion.”

The ACC is set to provide attendees with another opportunity to learn from the most respected coatings industry experts, covering a wide array of topics in their technical presentations. Following the optional pre-conference tutorials, the official kick-off will be the Opening Session. Chris Killian, Ph.D., Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Eastman, will deliver the keynote address entitled, “The Role of Innovation in the Coatings Industry When Every Color Must be Green.” Presentation of the AC Conference Best Paper Award will also occur during the Opening Session. That evening, the popular Poster Session will be held as an opportunity to engage and network with peers. Throughout the conference, sessions will be divided into content-specific tracks for a customized attendee experience.
