PPG Completes Colorful Communities Project at Colegio Villar Palasí in Valencia, Spain
PPG has announced that it has completed a Colorful Communities® project to help beautify part of the Colegio Villar Palasí school’s grounds in Quart de Poblet, a municipality in Valencia, Spain. The project brought together more than 90 PPG volunteers, teachers, and parents, who spent two days transforming the school’s playground and external building. PPG provided $45,000 (€44,500) to support the renovation, and supplied more than 182 gallons (690 liters) of SEIGNEURIE™, SELEMIX®, and DYRUP® paints by PPG.
The Colorful Communities program provides PPG volunteers and products along with financial contributions to bring color and vitality to communities where the company operates around the world, such as in Valencia, where the company has a manufacturing facility for automotive coatings production. The Colegio Villar Palasí is a nursery and primary school attended by more than 185 students, from 3 to 12 years, including children with special needs. The institution also hosts a music academy and sports facilities that are open to all the neighborhood’s residents, with the objective of promoting cultural and leisure activities in the community.
