NACD Comments on Proposed Regulation to Ban Uses of Methylene Chloride
The National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) Vice President of Regulatory Affairs Jennifer Gibson submitted comments to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regarding the proposed regulation to ban all consumer and most industrial uses of methylene chloride under Section 6(a) of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).
In the comments, Gibson highlighted the negative impact that these regulations would have on the chemical industry and the U.S. economy and urged EPA to instead consider requiring a workplace chemical protection program (WCPP).
