James Hardie Building Products Inc. announced Iron Gray as its 2026 Color of the Year. The deep, bold shade appears in the company’s Statement Collection product line and is offered across multiple Hardie fiber cement siding and trim options.

According to the company, Iron Gray is intended to deliver a dramatic yet balanced exterior aesthetic. It pairs with Hardie Trim in Arctic White for a crisp contrast or can be used with matching trim for a monochromatic look. “Color has the power to amplify a home's architectural voice,” said Samara Toole, chief marketing officer of James Hardie. “With Iron Gray, we wanted a color that is expressive yet grounded, one that complements strong lines and invites highlight trims to pop.”

Statement Collection products are available with ColorPlus Technology finishes in curated colors selected by the company’s color experts. ColorPlus Technology is designed to support long-term appearance by resisting UV light and fading. Hardie siding carries a limited finish warranty of up to 15 years and a 30-year non-prorated substrate warranty. The company notes that Hardie siding is engineered for climate and formulated for durability across a range of regional conditions.
