Alliance for Chemical Distribution and American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers signed a memorandum of understanding effective May 12, 2026, aimed at expanding collaboration across their shared supply chain.
According to the organizations, the agreement will focus on rail-related issues affecting members, improving awareness of legislative and regulatory developments and exploring opportunities tied to non-competitive services offered by both groups.
“Amid a rapidly shifting supply chain with disruptions and uncertainty across the regulatory and legislative landscape, inter-industry cooperation is paramount to the success and competitiveness of the American economy,” said Eric R. Byer, president and CEO of the Alliance for Chemical Distribution.
AFPM President and CEO Chet Thompson said the partnership will help strengthen advocacy efforts tied to petrochemical manufacturers and chemical distributors.
The organizations said the agreement is intended to enhance collaboration, safety and industry engagement moving forward.
