JAMESTOWN, PA — W. Richard “Dick” Shannon, retired vice president and technical director of Jamestown Paint Co., died April 24 in Greenville, PA, after suffering a heart attack. He was 66.
Mr. Shannon joined Jamestown in 1955 as a chemist. He later was named plant manager, then technical director, and in 1985 was appointed vice president. He continued to work for the company on a consulting basis after retiring in 1995.
Mr. Shannon is survived by his wife Sally, his mother, four sons, one daughter, and three grandchildren.
