Sheboygan Paint Co. announced that Samantha Moran has been promoted to technical director. In this role, she will direct the research and development team. Moran will oversee the work of chemists and technicians in the company’s laboratories in both Cedartown, Georgia, and Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

Moran has been part of the Sheboygan Paint Co. R&D team for more than seven years, working as a research chemist and lab administrator. The company said that during her tenure she has successfully guided more than 1,000 lab projects and managed the launch of innovative new lab equipment. Most notably, she was a key player in the filing of Sheboygan Paint Co.’s first patent, for a catalyst that makes environmentally friendly paint more widely accessible across commercial industries. A graduate of Berry College, Moran holds a bachelor of science degree in Biochemistry and a master of business administration degree from its Campbell School of Business.
