Rohm and Haas Puts Down Roots in Turkey
PHILADELPHIA - Effective January 1, 2005, Rohm and Haas Company has opened a new legal entity in Gebze/Turkey, located 50 km east of Istanbul. Rohm and Haas Kimyasal Ürünler Dagitim ve Ticaret A.S. will be a marketing and sales office serving the paint and coatings industry, as well as the textile, paper and non-wovens industry. The staff will provide product and service solutions specifically relevant to the Turkish marketplace.
"Turkey is going to be one of the fastest growing markets over the coming years," says Dr. Andrew Trapani, general manager of the new company. "Being located here, close to our customers, we can be more responsive to their needs and help them grow more efficiently and profitably."
