Bob Clemens has been named president of the Paint Research Association.

TEDDINGTON, UK — Bob Clemens, Eastman Chemical Co., has been named president of the Paint Research Association, based in Teddington, England. He succeeds Stache Bancken of Akzo Nobel Coatings.

Clemens has been involved in the coatings industry since 1984 and has held a number of positions with Eastman, including technology manager, Coatings Inks and Resins, and business unit manager, Resin Intermediates. He is currently director of Chemicals Research at the company. Clemens is the first American to head the coatings-research organization.
