FARGO, ND - North Dakota State University has appointed Richard R. Roesler, Applications chemist in Bayer Corp.'s Coatings and Colorants Division, adjunct professor of the university's Department of Polymers and Coatings.

The appointment is based on recognition of Roesler's "past and continuing contributions to the department's Industrial Coatings short courses, and to student classes and seminars," Bayer's Coatings and Colorants Division said.

Roesler also is chairman of the NDSU Department of Polymers and Coatings Industrial Advisory Board. He joined Bayer in 1986 as an Applications chemist in the Coatings Division, and is the author of 23 U.S. patents and 12 additional patent applications. His areas of focus have included applications of polyisocyanates in various coatings formulations.
