Ultra Additives and Munzing Chemie GmbH announced an agreement under which Munzing will acquire Ultra Additives.
PATERSON, NJ — Ultra Additives Inc. and Munzing Chemie GmbH announced an agreement under which Munzing will acquire Ultra Additives, a supplier of defoamers and related products. Munzing, based in Heilbronn, Germany, is a supplier of process chemicals in Europe and Asia. The company manufactures defoamers, emulsifiers, wetting agents, thickeners, and related products for a variety of markets, including coatings, ink, and adhesives.
The companies said Ultra Additives will continue to operate as a separate company within the Munzing group, with headquarters in Paterson, NJ. Ted D’Amico will remain president and CEO of the company, which was started by the D’Amico family in 1952.
