EXTON, PA — Sartomer Co., a manufacturer of radiation-cure materials and other specialty chemicals, has acquired Ricon Resins Inc., a Grand Junction, CO, supplier of functionalized polybutadiene resins and derivatives. No financial details of the transaction were announced.
Ricon’s product line includes adhesion promoters, butadiene/ styrene copolymers, UV-cure resins, maleinized polybutadiene resins and laminating resins. Applications include UV-cure and peroxide-cure coatings, sealants, and other industrial end uses.
Sartomer, based in Exton, PA, is a supplier of a range of monomers; epoxy, urethane and specialty acrylated oligomers; photoinitiators; and other specialty chemicals.
