ST. LOUIS — Aaron S. Dennis, former president of Dennis Chemical Co., a St. Louis-based manufacturer of coatings, elastomers and adhesives, died June 24 after a long illness. He was 62.
Mr. Dennis was president of Dennis Chemical from 1978 until the company was sold last year to Geon Co. The company is now called The Geon Co.-St Louis. The business was started by his father, Israel, and uncle, Sidney Dennis. The company produces a variety of specialty materials, including plastisols, urethanes and latexes, which are used in a range of commercial and consumer products. The company has won numerous awards for product quality and safety, and a company representative said
Mr. Dennis was known for his devotion to employees, whom he regarded as family.
Mr. Dennis is survived by his wife, Lynn; two sons, Joel and Richard; two stepsons, Jesse Weissman and Martin Weissman; two brothers, Robert and Carl; and two granddaughters.
