Washington - The American Coatings Show (ACS) and Conference, an all-new exhibition and conference for the coatings industry, will be held June 2-5, 2008, at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, NC. The National Paint and Coatings Association (NPCA) has partnered with Vincentz Network (VN), organizer of the European Coatings Show (ECS), to create an event similar to the ECS. The theme of the event, To the Next Level, embodies the goal for the conference of creating a unique, transatlantic exchange.

The two-day American Coatings Conference will begin on June 2. With a clear focus on presenting the most recent innovations in raw materials and equipment, and covering the entire range of coatings formulation aspects, the event will feature a variety of scientific papers and speakers.

The conference organizers will select proposals for technical presentations based on their scientific significance and their potential to add value to the industry. The official call for papers is now available, and companies are invited to submit papers. Submit your title and abstract online at www.american-coatings-show.com/callforpapers. The deadline for submission of titles and abstracts is December 5, 2007.

The AC Show will open its doors on June 3. Products on display will include coating raw materials, laboratory and production equipment, testing and measuring equipment, environmental protection and safety at work, and services.

The June 2008 premiere will mark the beginning of a biannual schedule for ACS, which will alternate years with ECS. For more information about the American Coatings Show and Conference, visit www.american-coatings-show.com.
