Effective Aug. 1, 2008, or as contracts allow, BASF will increase prices on its acrylic monomers sold in the United States, Canada and Mexico by the following amounts: glacial acrylic acid will increase by U.S. 0.10 per pound; methyl acrylate will increase by U.S. 0.12 per pound; ethyl acrylate will increase by U.S. 0.12 per pound; butyl acrylate will increase by U.S. 0.12 per pound; and 2-ethylhexyl acrylate will increase by U.S. 0.12 per pound.

These increases are in addition to the surcharges that were communicated to customers in a letter and that were effective July 15, 2008.
