Leading Canadian paint brand CIL Paints suggests that choosing a mood for a room is the easiest way to start the color selection process.

CONCORD, Canada – Leading Canadian paint brand CIL Paints has launched a new website that features a unique tool to help consumers choose colors based on mood.

Choosing a mood for a room might be the easiest way to start the color-selection process. “Studies show that even once in store, many consumers still don’t know what paint color to buy, yet almost everyone can describe what kind of feeling they would like to create in their room,” said Jennifer Jones, Marketing Communications Manager of CIL Paints.

The website, www.cil.ca, offers a mood test that walks visitors through a series of images and asks them to click on their favorite ones. The test results reveal a person’s décor taste, and users are directed to a color palette to help them create their desired ambience. Visitors can put together their own swatch of colors that are guaranteed to coordinate or opt to have the site’s Color Coordinator recommend personalized color schemes in real time.
