PITTSBURGH – The International Union of Air Pollution Prevention and Environmental Protection Associations (IUAPPA), in partnership with the Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA), will gather experts from all walks of the environmental community for the 2010 World Clean Air Congress, Sept. 12-16, 2010, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

The 2010 technical program will address the theme, “Achieving Environmental Sustainability in a Resource-Hungry World,” as related to four focus areas: science, policy, industry and sustainability. The congress will also feature presentations from distinguished speakers, including Mike Harcourt, Former Premier of British Columbia, Mayor of Vancouver and City Councilor; Martin Williams, Chairman of the Executive Body of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe’s Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution; Edith Ardiente, Vice President, Environmental and Energy Affairs of Navistar Inc.; and Miriam Lev-on, Executive Director and co-founder of the LEVON Group LLC.
