The American Chemical Society's Division of Polymeric Materials: Science and Engineering is seeking nominations for the 2005 Roy W. Tess Award in Coatings.

The award is given in recognition of outstanding individual achievements and noteworthy contributions to coatings science, technology and engineering. The $2,000 prize will be presented on Aug. 29, 2005, at the National Meeting of the American Chemical Society in Washington.

Nominations will be accepted from all sections of industry, academia and government, and should be forwarded to David Baur, Tess Award chairman, at Ford Motor Co., Research Laboratory-MD3182, P.O. Box 2053, Dearborn, MI 48121. Upon receipt of the names, the chairman will provide a documentation form requesting information on the nominee relevant to patents, publications and overall qualifications.

All finalized nominations for the 2005 Tess Award should be submitted prior to Sept. 1, 2004. Nominations received after that date will be considered for the succeeding year's award.
