The eGard unit is a modular approach to controlling access to hazardous machinery and equipment. In addition to providing all the features that are required in a gate switch, eGard includes electrical operator controls as standard modules. It can even be used solely as a flexible, easily installed, control unit. eGard simply clips together and provides a vast number of options. Modules such as stop and start switches and indicator lights can be included in the one unit, with or without gate switch modules. This eliminates much of the wiring and connection time involved with control panels. Unit is designed to fit straight on to standard extruded aluminum machine guarding without the need for additional brackets. The internal network is self configuring to ease installation and reconfiguring. It can be connected to PLCs and mimic panels.
